R3GROUP takes reconfigurable manufacturing to EuroBLECH 2026

R3GROUP was showcased at the Hisense Europe – Gorenje Orodjarna stand at EuroBLECH 2026, the world’s leading trade fair for sheet metal working, held in Hannover (Germany) from 20 to 23 October 2026.

As one of the project’s five pilot companies, the Slovenian toolmaker used its own stand to show visitors how R3GROUP technologies are helping European manufacturers reconfigure production faster and become more resilient.

A pilot factory on show

At the stand, R3GROUP materials ran alongside Gorenje Orodjarna’s own toolmaking offer, under the shared message of precision sheet-metal forming tools “from concept to tryout under one roof”. Visitors could learn about the project’s aim, its consortium and how to get involved.

Gorenje Orodjarna designs, builds and tries out sheet-metal forming tools for the automotive and home appliance sectors. In R3GROUP, its pilot tested digital tools to plan and adapt production when demand or tool requirements change, including a Supply Chain Digital Twin, a Market Demand Capture tool and a high-level production planning tool.

The pilot reports an 11% reduction in ramp-up time, a 10% reduction in reconfiguration time and a 2.3% increase in OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).

Next stop: Manufacturing Partnership Days

R3GROUP will present its final results at EFFRA’s Manufacturing Partnership Days in Brussels on 17–18 November 2026, with a booth, a panel discussion and the R3GROUP Final Workshop: Technology pitches and Funding Routes for Reconfigurable, AI-Driven and Circular Manufacturing (18 November, 14:00–18:00, Atelier room).

Manufacturers interested in the R3GROUP solutions can explore them on TechFinders and contact the consortium to test them.

The R3GROUP project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme under grant agreement No. 101091869.
